Sewing Operator

Job Description

The Sewing Operator is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble knit textile products in a production environment. This role requires attention to detail, consistent pace, and adherence to quality and safety standards. The Sewing Operator will support daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and product quality.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines (single‑needle, overlock/serger, or similar)

Sew knit fabrics according to production instructions and quality standards

Inspect finished products for defects and accuracy

Maintain consistent production pace to meet output goals

Perform basic machine setup and adjustments

Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Skills & Qualifications

Previous sewing or manufacturing experience preferred

Experience with industrial sewing machines a plus

Strong hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail

Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive hand motions

Reliable attendance and punctuality

Schedule & Pay

Shift: Monday – Friday

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Work Environment

Manufacturing / sewing floor environment

Moderate noise levels

Repetitive hand and wrist motions

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Talladega, AL.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
