NPD Project Manager

The NPD Project Manager is responsible for managing the timely evolution of all development projects from concept to commercialization, including new product launches, product line extensions, promo collections/sets, sampling and re-formulation/repackaging projects for Cécred. This person will lead weekly cross-functional team status meetings and follow up as necessary to ensure that all milestones are met. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional project management and communication skills and thrive in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Project Management Develop and manage all development workplans and timelines, ensuring that critical launch milestones are met and information is communicated as necessary to key stakeholders. Work closely with all stakeholders to build timelines and manage to deadlines, keeping all responsible departments and individuals on track with deliverables, clearly communicating risks and finding opportunities and defining specific action plans/contingencies when obstacles occur. Drive timely escalation of and proactively help resolve outstanding issues that put project delivery and/or budget at risk. Work with project team on effective mitigation plans. Provide project management best practices in the product development space and help develop infrastructure and processes for business. Manage all repackaging, reformulation, and sustaining timelines to ensure seamless transition. Manage development project tracker to ensure timely completion of all milestones. Lead weekly, or more, project status meetings, authoring weekly project status reports, managing meeting agendas, minutes and resulting action plans to drive for on time delivery. Manage all stage gate activities, including coordination, organization, and delivery of monthly stage gate meetings to demonstrate project status and request approval to proceed through NPD lifecycle. Organize necessary internal or external meetings for the coordination and resolution of artwork issues across products. Work alongside of stakeholders for appropriate information and compliance for markets. Provide clear prioritization of tasks and keep stakeholders informed of project progress and manage expectations proactively. Update and maintain master templates for every type of project, to ensure consistency and thoroughness. Manage postmortem evaluation system and performance metrics for key milestones to analyze all product launches and determine root causes of project delays to improve the overall system. Record all appropriate information for future use, ensuring all information is updated in job management tools upon completion of a project. Develop tools, forms, trackers, platforms as necessary to facilitate and improve the project management function. Ensure that all project related data is updated and accurate at all times in job management tools as well as any ancillary tools or reporting mechanism. Other assignments/projects as necessary. Qualifications and requirements 7+ years of project management experience in CPG, Beauty, or equivalent industry BA/BS in Project Management, Business Administration, or equivalent Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (desired) Exceptional project management skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks with precision and detail Demonstrable experience working with and leading cross-functional teams Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and project management platforms Ability to learn quickly, comfortable with a fast paced, dynamic work environment. Strong interpersonal skills, professional maturity and an ability to work seamlessly across multiple departments and personalities. Ability to create and maintain strong internal relationships. Capable of tactfully negotiating deadlines with others to drive tasks to completion. Highly collaborative, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner. Outstanding multitasking skills and strong attention to detail with the ability to pivot as needed. Be adept at time management and organization and able to work within tight timeframes. Open to feedback and expanding skill set, demonstrating incorporation of learning and development. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills, business acumen, and ability to pivot as needed. Ability to follow process definition and define solutions that effectively deliver results.
