RN - Assistant Nurse Manager - Palliative Care and Comfort Unit - AM (730)

Overview Pay range: $36.80 - $53.00 / hour. Shifts: full-time AM. Responsibilities To work with nursing leadership to direct nursing service activities in the assigned care unit for the duration of one shift and/or in the absence of the Nurse Manager. To provide professional nursing care for patients in the assigned care unit. To support nursing leadership in the coordination of patient care, personnel management, physician/interdisciplinary collaboration and general administrative duties. Qualifications Associate\'s degree in Nursing with 18 months of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. If job is in a free-standing emergency department (FSED) location, one year of emergency or ICU nursing experience. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA is required within six months from date of hire to role. Depending on the unit/department, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, or other comparable certification as appropriate for the age of patients to be treated, may be required within six months from date of hire to role.
