Respiratory Therapist (RT) Pediatric to Adult

Opening Respiratory Therapist (RT) - New Grads Welcome! Location: Nestled in northern Portage County, between Cleveland and Akron, is the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities, a long-term residential facility that provides medical services for 124 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Schedule: Full-Time, 6:30pm - 7:00am, every other weekend required. Rewards And Benefits $38.12 per hour starting rate for new grads plus shift differential. Safe and joyful work environment. Requirements & Qualifications Registered / Certified Respiratory Therapist. Current Ohio state license of active status. Associate or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy from an AMA-approved school. BCLS certification – free training / recertification provided. Experience in chronic care and ventilators, and knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred. Responsibilities And Daily Duties Provide high quality respiratory therapy services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Manage acute and chronic respiratory problems. Maintain appropriate documentation and communicating effectively. Work as a team to ensure high quality health services to each person served. Assist with training / mentoring of new Respiratory Therapist staff as assigned. Complete checklists, incident reports, data collection, monthly summaries. Demonstrate respect, trust, and confidentiality regarding persons served, families, and co-workers. Other related duties as requested by the direct supervisor.
