: Location: Southwest VT Regional Technical School District321 Park StreetBennington, VT 05201Schedule: Year-Round Position, 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day) Position Overview: Southwest Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Attendance Clerk & Data Assistant. This full-time, year-round role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate student attendance and academic records, supporting data entry processes, and contributing to a welcoming and professional school environment. Key Responsibilities: Attendance Management Enter and maintain attendance records in PowerSchoolDistribute regular attendance reports to sending schoolsOversee and assist with the electronic check-in systemVerify excusal documents and update records accordinglyManage attendance for field trips and student activitiesCommunicate early dismissals for school-related eventsRespond to attendance-related inquiries from students, staff, and familiesGenerate and mail attendance/tardy letters and notificationsIssue daily robocalls for end-of-day attendance updates Grade Management Communicate grading policies and deadlines to facultyVerify grade accuracy in PowerSchoolGenerate and submit grade reportsDistribute report cards and quarterly failing grades to appropriate departments Database Management Assist with student enrollment and new student packet processingMaintain accurate student records and electronic files in PowerSchoolCollaborate with the Database Coordinator and Counseling Coordinator on data accuracy and confidentiality Adult Education Support Answer questions about adult education and assist with applicationsMaintain accurate records and issue certificates of completion Additional Duties Serve as a fire drill sweeperManage student parking passes and recordsSupport office operations: greeting guests, answering phones, responding to inquiriesProcess credit card payments and financial transactionsCoordinate and produce end-of-year awards and certificatesComplete other projects and tasks as assigned by school leadership
