Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. This position requires flexibility to float to other units and hospitals as needed. Full-time options available, with a commitment of 36 or 48 hours per week.About the RoleThe Emergency Department is tasked with delivering comprehensive emergency medical services to patients of all age groups. Our highly trained team, which includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff, is available 24/7 to meet the needs of the community.The Emergency Department consists of a 54-bed state-designated Level III Trauma Center and a Level II Stroke Center, treating over 60,000 patients annually. Nurse to Patient ratios range from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients.Education RequirementsAssociate degree in nursingCertifications RequiredAHA ACLSAHA BLSAHA PALSNIH or Red Cross certificationTNCCSECURE on siteLicenses RequiredRegistered Nurse State of Alabama or Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)NURSYS registrationExperience RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license.
