Assistant Nurse ManagerThe Assistant Nurse Manager serves as an adjunct to the Nurse Manager or Nursing Director by providing supervision and clinical expertise to staff in his/her assigned area. Assists the Nurse Manager in hiring and firing of nursing personnel, conducting periodic employee evaluations, orientation of new employees, and performance improvement activities. Assists the Nurse Manager in devising and managing the departmental budget(s). Facilitates positive customer service and patient-centered care on the nursing unit.QualificationsAge of Patients Served: All Age GroupsRequired Education: Associate's Degree. Specific course work: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. For certifications that require a specified number of cases or hours worked within the specialty, the certification must be applied for once the case/time requirement has been met, and the certification must be obtained within one year of the requirement having been met (e.g. oncology, chemotherapy, diabetes education).Required Experience: 3-5 years - Practicing RN in acute care.
