Its Advertising & Technology Services ("ATS") business provides performance marketing solutions to mobile app developers. ATS is growing rapidly and generates most of the company's revenue. It operates through two units: Smadex and Adwake.


Smadex is a demand side platform (DSP) that automates media buying. It provides comprehensive ad-tech solutions that engage users across their entire lifecycle, from initial discovery to re-engagement. The core of the Smadex platform is its proprietary AI. Smadex optimizes return on advertising spend via complex, transparent campaign execution where advertisers pay only for specific, measurable actions. Smadex upgraded its bidding technology in 2025 to use advanced predictive models. This transition allows the company to identify complex, non-linear patterns in user behavior. Smadex processes 500 billion bid requests and serves 1.5 billion ads daily across the globe.


Adwake is a performance-based digital marketing agency that aggregates diverse third-party traffic sources to find new users for mobile app developers. Adwake is making a strategic shift from operating as a pure service business to a product business, with the recent launch of a rewards-based offerwall.

Position Overview


Entravision is seeking a highly strategic, business-minded VP of Legal to lead the legal function for its Advertising & Technology Services (ATS) business. The VP of Legal will report to the CEO of Smadex and the Chief Legal Officer of Entravision. The successful candidate will serve as the primary legal partner to the ATS executive team. Entravision is looking for a creative problem-solver who can effortlessly balance the dual roles of business partner and strategic risk manager. The successful candidate will need to understand the mechanics of Entravision products, from Smadex's demand side platform to Adwake's newly launched offerwall product. Crucially, the successful candidate will be tasked with building a scalable legal infrastructure for a rapidly growing global business.


Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Serve as the chief legal advisor for the entire ATS division, partnering directly with the C-Suite and scaling the company's operations across the U.S., EU, and Asia.
• Product Counseling: Provide embedded product counseling for Entravision advertising technology products, including Smadex's demand side platform and Adwake's offerwall. Proactively identify risks and ensure continuous compliance with a complex matrix of product-level regulations and platform guidelines.
• Data Privacy & Compliance: Direct global data privacy compliance, ensuring Entravision data processing capabilities align with evolving international frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA and others
• Commercial Strategy & Execution: Design, implement, and oversee a scalable commercial contracting strategy. Directly negotiate high-stakes, cross-border technology transactions and key strategic agreements, while building playbooks to delegate day-to-day commercial flow.
• AI Governance: Advise on emerging regulatory frameworks surrounding the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning within Entravision predictive bidding models, including proactive compliance with the EU AI Act and U.S. state-level AI regulations.
• Resource Management: Strategically deploy and manage a global budget for outside counsel to handle localized regulatory and corporate matters.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in legal team building.
• Deep, substantive expertise in global data privacy laws (including GDPR and CCPA) and their practical application to programmatic advertising.
• Familiarity with AI governance and the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding generative and predictive AI technologies (e.g., the EU AI Act).
• Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.
