Job Overview A law firm seeks a motivated attorney to join its state and local tax practice in Lewiston, ME. The role involves audit defense, administrative appeals, tax litigation, appellate advocacy, and strategic advising and consulting. The position offers a hybrid work option, combining in-office and remote work from home within Maine. Duties Defend clients in tax audits and administrative appeals. Engage in tax litigation and appellate advocacy. Provide strategic advising and consulting on tax matters. Requirements 2 to 5 years of experience in relevant practice areas. Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and writing skills. Interest in state and local tax issues. Familiarity with financial and tax reporting preferred. Experience in accounting or business is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Bar admission in Maine or eligibility to obtain.
