Sr Mainframe Developer
We are looking for a candidate with 10 or more years of experience who is comfortable with an in-person interview. The candidate should have strong experience in MQ and IMS. Please share the resume accordingly.
Location: Wilmington, DE (Onsite)
Job Requirements
- Experience (10+ years) in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with IBM-Z/OS Mainframe applications
Experience With
- Mainframe development suite, COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ, VSAM including both batch and real-time processes.
- CICS Main view, REXX, CLIST
- Proficient in FTP/NDM/File-Mover, CA-7, IBM Utilities, Intertest, File Aid, TSO/ISPF/SDSF, File Manager, Changeman, SORT
- Experience with debug tools like Xpediter
- Strong Database design and development skills in IMS DB, DB2, DB2 SQL and Stored Procedures
- Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solution
- Exposure to distributed Technologies – Java, Kafka, Rest Web Service, XML
Job Responsibilities
- Develops secure high-quality production code using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Estimate and plan JIRA stories, document your tasks
- Perform hands on coding and peer review the code to guarantee stability of applications, adhere to architecture standards, risk management, security policies, processes and procedures
- Ability to work independently without intensive oversight
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
