Job Description MRI Technologist Location: Port Jefferson, NY Organization: New York Imaging (NYI) Key Responsibilities Maintain and adjust imaging equipment. Calibrate MRI (MRA) consoles and peripheral hardware. Operate injectors with proficiency. Ensure patient safety using aseptic injection techniques and appropriate pre‑screening. Address patient concerns throughout the procedure. Flush IV lines post‑contrast injection. Accurately follow physician orders for imaging areas. Prepare patients for procedures, including medical history review and answering procedural questions. Shield exposed areas of the body to protect the patient during imaging. Attach physiological monitoring leads as necessary. Provide headphones for patient comfort. Properly position patients for imaging. Maintain accurate patient medical records. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate Degree. Current state license. CPR certification. Minimum of one year of continuous MRI experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred). Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
