Supervisor, Warehouse OperationsShift Details:Thursday - MondayApprox. 3 PM start on weekdays, 2 PM on weekendsEnd times may vary based on customer demandWhat Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal HealthOperations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.Job SummaryThe Supervisor, Warehouse Operations supervises a team of Outbound Associates and ensures that pick, pack, and ship operations are safe, efficient, and of high quality. The Supervisor continually monitors efficiency and quality metrics, assigns work and provides coaching to supervised staff, and addresses a variety of operational issues. The Supervisor directly contributes to Cardinal Health's customer service reputation by ensuring that shipments are on-time and of high quality, develops the Warehouse Operations talent pool, and enhances operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesDirect and manage a team of 15-20 warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of products and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards including cycle times, lines per hour, shortages, damaged units, missed dispatches, and missed scans, among others are achievedMonitor site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action process when neededAdhere to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality and inventoryResponsible for continuous improvement projects and initiativesPerform daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate, and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient mannerCoordinate maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairsActive engagement in employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisalsMajority of work day is spent on the floor while balancing administrative dutiesCollaborate with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR groups dailyInterview and make hiring decisions for lead and associate level rolesMaintain general responsibility for disciplinary process in counseling, oral and written warnings; ensure a productive work climate in the warehouse operationPrepare ad hoc reports, as necessary using Excel (or any other necessary programs)Responsible for accurate attendance/PTO records and ensure scheduling is maintainedHold staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner while enforcing Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authoritiesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred, Bachelor's degree a plus3-5 years related experience preferredPrior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiativesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience leading a teamStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Tables and spreadsheets)Experience working within ERP's (SAP or Manhattan) preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this levelCoordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical or production staff in an assigned areaSets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisorsApplies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within own areaRole models Cardinal Health's high ethical standards and code of conductProvides direction in discussing and creating development plansProvides input into succession planning process for own work areaAligns individual goals for self and others with work area/functional goalsBuilds confidence and respect of others through a positive and energizing styleWorks within budgetary/financial objectives set by manager, applying knowledge of profit drivers to work processes within own areaBuilds customer relationships, interprets customer needs and assesses their business requirementsLeverages customer knowledge to develop alternative solutions and shares key learnings with othersResolves day-to-day or routine problems using defined processesWorks/brainstorms with work team and provides suggestions for solutions that contain the appropriate level of risk; ensures work team understands and supports the focus on operational excellenceAnticipated salary range: $67,500 - 96,300Bonus eligible: NoBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 08/25/2026*if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
