Physical Therapist

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physical Therapist role located in Excelsior Springs, MO. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility. Daily responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, documenting care in the medical record, monitoring progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed. The role involves close collaboration with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff, as well as educating patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe mobility strategies. The Physical Therapist will support both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, contribute to care planning meetings, and help promote a safe, patient-centered environment. Qualifications Strong foundation in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans. Proficiency in Patient Care and Home Care, including patient and family education on exercises, mobility, and safety. Working knowledge of Medicine as it relates to musculoskeletal, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary conditions commonly seen in rehabilitation. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program. Effective communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills. Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain professional, trauma-informed, and inclusive patient interactions. Previous experience in hospital-based or outpatient rehabilitation settings is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
