Principal API Platform Engineer
Schaumburg, IL
Required Work Experience:
- minimum of 10 years' experience in IT, including a minimum of 8 years' experience in IBM API Connect, Datapower as well as experience with Application Connect Enterprise or IIB.
- Minimum + experience in API management and Integration space, delivering quality APIs and reusable integration solutions
- 5+ years' experience working in Agile/Scrum model
- Understanding of Minimum Lower Layer Protocol (MLLP).
- Experience with a wide variety of continuous integration and source control tools
- Proven track record of successful implementation of all project life cycle stages from requirements gathering through implementation and enhancements
- Knowledge of API security including OIDC and OAuth2.0 concepts
- Experience with designing APIs as products and building API-led architecture
- Experience in building APIs for B2B, B2C product solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders
- Experience with Github, Github actions and pipeline deployments.
