Job Title: Event Staff & Field Operators Pay: $18.00 / hour Hours: October 5th – October 9th (full availability during event dates required) Start Date: ASAP Looking for an energetic and active role? Join our team supporting a premier regional retriever event in Eugene and make a difference during this exciting five-day project. As an Event Staff & Field Operator, you'll help keep everything running smoothly at a fast-paced outdoor event focused on working dogs. You'll work closely with event coordinators and team members to ensure safety, efficiency, and fun for all participants. What You'll Do As an Event Staff & Field Operator, you will be responsible for Safely setting up, loading, and firing bird launchers during boom gun operations Assisting with bird handling, setup, and retrieval ground operations Supporting event directors, volunteers, and board members to maintain event flow and safety Lending a hand wherever help is needed to ensure a seamless experience for handlers and guests Helping with general event support tasks to keep everything running on schedule What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have Punctuality and dependability, with a strong commitment to sticking to the schedule Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move outdoors for the entire shift, lifting up to 40 lbs comfortably Strong listening skills to follow safety procedures and instructions quickly and accurately A friendly, helpful attitude with a team-oriented mindset and willingness to step into varied roles as needed Why Join Us in Eugene?
