What You Will Do Performs duties as assigned, following the policy and procedures of Stanford Health Care and the Sterile Processing Department. Must be familiar with operation of decontamination, cleaning and sterilization equipment, Departmental Standards of Operation, Policy and Procedures and Human Resources. Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services, ensuring they are compatible with the function and goals of SHC. Helps develop and oversee an effective system of information, records and reports for assigned department, utilizing appropriate manual or electronic system. Assists in evaluating staffing requirements for the department, ensuring qualified, competent persons are available to provide services. Supports the manager in hiring staff, merit pay increases, and promotions. Mentors supervisory personnel to effectively coach, orient, and provide feedback to departmental personnel. Engages in lean learning and coaching of frontline staff with the support of the manager and director. Education Qualifications Associate’s degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred. Experience Qualifications One year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience. Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $50.67 - $65.87 per hour The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
