Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Oncology\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 2\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion position requiring NC or compact RN license and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification.Details\n \n Outpatient oncology infusion center setting\n Provides care in ED, hematology oncology, and infusion areas\n Day shift schedule, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday\n No alternative schedules available\n 40 hours per week\n No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements\n Uses Epic EMR\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license valid in North Carolina (NC or Compact)\n Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)\n Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required\n At least 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience required\n ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required (ONS Fundamentals certification not accepted)\n Prior Epic EMR experience required\n Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required\n BSN or MSN preferred\n Experience with chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron/fluids/electrolytes, port lab draws/injections required\n Additional Information\n \n Administers chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood products, IV fluids, electrolytes, and iron\n Performs port lab draws and injections\n Provides patient and family education and emotional support\n Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to coordinate and evaluate patient care\n Performs patient assessments and develops individualized care plans\n Participates in discharge planning and identifying patient needs\n Works within a research-driven cancer care environment as part of a larger health system\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-750554.
