Job Description As a Security Officer Building Access Control in Irvine, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time / Day Shift Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:30 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:30 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:30 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:30 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels. Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns. Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and support access-control procedures for restricted areas. Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific requirements. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
