Pharmacy TechnicianMount Laurel Animal Hospital is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital team. This vital role ensures our pharmacy operates efficiently, supporting our doctors and patients by maintaining inventory, preparing medications, and ensuring accurate and timely dispensing. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and committed to delivering excellent client and patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.ResponsibilitiesMaintain pharmacy with supplies needed for daily hospital operations and place orders as necessaryManage pharmacy inventory and anticipate upcoming needs across departmentsReceive and process prescription refill requests in a timely mannerKeep pharmacy area organized, clean, and free of clutter or debrisDispense prescribed medications and pharmaceuticals according to legal and professional standardsReview prescriptions from veterinarians for accuracy and determine appropriate formulas and ingredientsAnswer client questions regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and useEnsure proper procedures are followed for quality assurance and security of controlled substancesEnter and update pharmacy data, maintain inventory logs, and ensure accurate charge system documentationQualifications and Education RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experienceKnowledge of pharmaceuticals and inventory managementTechnical Abilities and SkillsExceptional client service and communication skillsStrong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret technical documents and business communicationsProven ability to follow through and complete tasks consistentlyHighly reliable with excellent time management and organizational skillsMust be able to regularly lift up to 40 poundsWhy Choose Mount Laurel Animal Hospital?Supportive Culture: Join a team that truly values compassion, collaboration, and community.
