GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Center Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the facility operates according to the required K1 standards. This role holds both Salaried and Hourly Staff accountable while fostering their development for career advancement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee staffing responsibilities including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating employees. Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines relevant to the facility’s location. Manage cash handling duties, including preparing tills, maintaining change funds, and preparing deposits. Ensure adherence to State Health inspection requirements and compliance with regulations. Maintain all State and Federal Permits and Licenses up to date. Follow and enforce alcohol ordinances according to State and Federal regulations. Complete monthly documentation relating to retention of work‑related records. Submit all company invoices to Corporate, including those from vendors. Ensure cashier staff adhere to correct cash handling practices and sell efficiently. Guarantee races are conducted safely and professionally by track personnel. Complete daily Manager Objectives as required via the company's Intranet. Supervise maintenance of karts to keep them in peak working condition. Uphold company policies and train staff to deliver exceptional customer service. Communicate regularly with corporate office personnel and provide detailed reports. Expand the marketing and promotional presence of K1 Speed. Ensure effective operational feasibility of the center and maintain high facility standards. Oversee the daily operations in line with K1 Speed policies and guidelines. Identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to enhance performance. Maintain optimal staffing levels to enhance employee and guest experiences. Conduct weekly inventories as per company standards. Maintain a professional K1 image, ensuring cleanliness and proper uniforms. Ensure food costs, part costs, and labor costs are managed within K1 standards. Guarantee the proper execution of private party events. Provide timely information to the sales team and Director of Sales for party bookings. Ensure adherence to cash handling procedures among the management team. Respond to customer service inquiries to ensure high standards of service within 24 hours. Implement weekly and monthly marketing promotions to enhance brand visibility and revenues. Collaborate with the team to review scheduling and effectiveness of promotional activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Business or Hospitality preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. Minimum of 5 years of Food and Beverage experience is required unless an internal candidate. At least 7 years of prior management experience, preferably in restaurant, entertainment, or hospitality sectors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires safe lifting, pushing, and pulling for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 100lbs with reasonable accommodation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is typically noisy, primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor marketing events.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Direct management of several salaried and hourly employees.
