Litigation Paralegal

Christovich & Kearney, LLP | New Orleans, LA Christovich & Kearney, LLP, a boutique defense litigation firm in New Orleans, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on insurance and corporate defense matters, providing support from initial case investigation through discovery, trial preparation, and resolution. Key Responsibilities Manage case files and organize pleadings, discovery, correspondence, medical records, and other case materials. Assist with drafting discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and routine litigation documents under attorney supervision. Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents, including electronic discovery. Review and summarize medical records, deposition testimony, and other evidence; prepare chronologies and case summaries. Coordinate depositions, expert examinations, witness interviews, and other case-related activities. Track case deadlines and assist attorneys in meeting court and client requirements. Prepare deposition and trial materials, including exhibits, witness files, and trial binders. Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel. Record billable time accurately and contemporaneously in accordance with firm policies and client billing guidelines. Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information. Qualifications Prior litigation paralegal experience; Preferably 5+ years. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple matters. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience reviewing medical records, managing discovery, and preparing cases for deposition or trial. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning document management, litigation support, and timekeeping software. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff. Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
