• Shift: 12 Hour Days (varied day shifts; hours typically between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM depending on rotation)
• Duration: 13 weeks (locum tenens contract, potential to extend)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Call Schedule: Every 7 days (1:7)
• Start Date: August 10, 2026
• End Date: November 9, 2026

• Board Certified in Pathology (AP/CP preferred)
• Active Minnesota medical license preferred (or ability to obtain state license)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in hospital-based pathology or equivalent locum tenens experience
• Proficiency in anatomic and clinical pathology procedures, including surgical pathology and cytology
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• NPDB report within 30 days of presentation

• Interpret surgical pathology specimens across multiple subspecialties: GI, GU, neuropathology, dermatopathology, and cytology
• Interpret hematopathology cases including bone marrow aspirate/biopsy and lymph node evaluation
• Rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) for image-guided biopsies to assess adequacy
• Clinical pathology duties: hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank oversight
• Provide blood bank call coverage (night coverage included per schedule)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: 6 pathologists, 5 histotechnologists, 1 pathology assistant, and 1 cytotechnologist
• No requirement to gross specimens or perform frozen section cuts; no supervisory responsibilities for other providers
• Work with Leica cryostat and Olympus BX40 microscope
