High School Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach

Head Coach Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking an experienced High School girls varsity soccer head coach for the 2026-27 school year. The Head Coach will create a positive environment of teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline that reflects the values of the Heschel School. Responsibilities include planning and executing team practices, devising game strategy, managing travel logistics, and supervising assistant coaches. The candidate must possess a strong understanding of soccer fundamentals, rules, and strategies, and be able to instruct student athletes in these areas. The Head Coach must model appropriate sports-like behavior and maintain proper conduct toward players, officials, and spectators. Required Education and Certification Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university First‑Aid, CPR, and AED certified Preferred Bachelor’s degree in physical education or related field Any level of coaching certification from a recognized sport governing body Job Specifics Length of season: Approximately 10 weeks (August 24 to end of October) Pre‑season weekdays: August 24 to September 3 (10 am‑12 pm or 4 pm‑6 pm) Regular practices: Two hours, maximum three sessions per week after school (including games) Game schedule: League games plus playoffs at the end of October Pay rate: Stipend of $6,000 based on workload and experience Qualified applicants should upload a cover letter and résumé.
