Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Location: New York, NY (10016)
Schedule: Day Shift – 5x7 (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Duration: 14 Weeks
CompensationTraveler Candidates: $75 – $77 per hour
Local Candidates: $60 – $61 per hour
The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) will provide psychosocial support and discharge planning services for patients in an inpatient medical/surgical setting. The role involves assessing patient needs, offering therapeutic support, and coordinating appropriate referrals to ensure continuity of care.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments
Provide supportive therapy to patients and families
Develop and implement discharge plans, including appropriate referrals
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
Ensure patient-centered care and continuity of services
Minimum of one (1) year of LMSW experience
Master’s Degree in Social Work
Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association
Experience in an inpatient or acute care setting is preferred
Strong communication, assessment, and care coordination skills are essential
