To accomplish this, Kodiak focuses on providing internal professional development and training, as well as the best benefits package in the industry.Position SummaryThe Senior Accountant plays a key role by acting as the bridge between the accounting team and financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, mentoring accounting staff, and participating in financial analysis. This position requires advanced technical accounting knowledge, familiarity with the unique financial aspects of gas compression, and leadership capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and analyze complex financial statements, ensuring they align with both GAAP and industry-specific standards.Lead the reconciliation process for general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany accounts.Manage the accounting for large capital projects, including the purchase, depreciation, and maintenance of compression units and related equipment.Develop and maintain cost accounting models related to compressor unit rental, fuel consumption, and service contracts.Mentor staff and intermediate accountants, providing guidance on industry-specific accounting practices and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning.Analyze and report on the financial performance of gas compression operations, providing recommendations to senior leadership for cost control, process improvements, and revenue generation.Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure the accuracy of financial records related to assets, liabilities, and operational costs.Develop and implement best practices for accounting processes and financial reporting.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
