Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Frederick, Maryland

This is a 13-week contract position.

4x12-Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30) with rotating holidays and weekends.

Join our Labor & Delivery Unit, providing comprehensive obstetric care to patients from 20 weeks of gestation through 6 weeks postpartum. Our newly expanded unit includes 14 Labor & Delivery rooms, an OB Triage Unit, OB Operating Rooms, and an OB PACU, all designed to offer comfort, safety, and family-centered care for an exceptional birthing experience in a serene suburban setting.

Responsibilities:

• Support and manage labor and delivery processes for expecting mothers.
• Provide patient assessments and implement nursing care plans.
• Assist in the delivery room during labor and delivery, including circulating for C-sections.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 3 years of current, strong Labor & Delivery RN experience.
• OB Triage experience is required.
• Active Maryland RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand at the time of submission.
• Active fetal monitoring certification is required (C-EFM preferred).
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP.
