You will proactively educate pet owners on the advantages of our training programs and deliver engaging training services following our established curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Enhance the pet parent experience and address concerns through various communication channels. Promote and sell training classes, both in-person and online. Provide insightful education to pet parents about our comprehensive training curriculum. Manage all documentation related to training activities. Serve as a training expert for associates at your location. Schedule and facilitate training classes in accordance with company guidelines. Create a safe and welcoming environment for pets and people alike during classes. Keep training and surrounding areas tidy and welcoming. Acknowledge and encourage team contributions to training program sales. Act promptly to assist sick or injured pets within the store. Promote and sell relevant merchandise and services. Assist with tasks in other departments as needed. Contribute to a culture of belonging and recognition. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications: 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a customer-oriented setting. Completion of the PetSmart Training Instructor Course. Proficiency in computer use. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Physical and Environmental Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, climb, reach, kneel, crouch, and use hands for various tasks; specific vision capabilities required include depth perception. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; team lifting may be necessary for over 100 pounds. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and a wet environment, as well as an abundance of pet hair and moderate noise levels, is common. Your Passion Matters!
