Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, schedule and job dutiesWhat You'll Do As a Cardiac RN, you'll provide both in-person and phone-based clinical care, supporting patients throughout their cardiac journey. Direct Patient Care Includes:Blood pressure follow-up visitsMedication reviews and educationPerforming and reviewing EKGsAssessing and supporting walk-in symptomatic patientsClinical & Care Coordination Responsibilities:Conduct incoming and outgoing clinical calls for triage and phone assessmentsReview cardiac testing and lab results and communicate treatment plans per provider directionDocument care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)Provide patient education and reinforce care plansCross-Training & Skill Expansion Opportunities:Cardiac stress testingHeart monitor applicationCoumadin clinic supportAssisting ultrasound technicians with bubble studies and enhanced echocardiography imaging agentsPerform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations and patient careWhat We're Looking ForRN diploma, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in NursingActive, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of VirginiaCurrent BLS certification required ; ACLS preferredPrior cardiac nursing experience strongly recommendedComfortable using electronic medical records (EMR)Strong organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skillsExcellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with providers and clinical staffProfessional Practice Standards The Registered Nurse practices at a competent level using the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
