Job Summary and Qualifications Cardiac Telemetry nurses assess acute changes in patients, monitor and analyze heart rhythm, interpret ECGs, note arrhythmias, and intervene in emergency situations. They possess high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and are able to stay calm under pressure. Our Cardiac Telemetry unit is unique in that our nurses take care of patients recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pacemaker/AICD placement and other cardiovascular surgeries. We are a comprehensive STEMI facility that continues to treat patients using the TAVR procedure outside of the ICU and collaborates closely with cardiology providers. Unit Details Two separate 29‑bed units specializing in the care of cardiac patients. Types of patients we care for include acute and chronic heart failure, electrophysiology (pacemaker, ablation), structural heart procedures, post‑operative day one open heart surgery patients, and post‑cardiac catheterization. Who Are We Specialized cardiac progressive care units offering critical thinking and skill development. Opportunities to advance to ICU, cardiac cath lab, EP lab, or leadership roles within 18 to 24 months. Collaboration with other departments to ease transitions.
