Lead Mover & Driver - College Students, Veterans, Skilled Trades encouraged to apply! Here’s the deal: We’re a moving company. We pick up people’s stuff and carry it from one place to a different place. We need people for our South Austin branch. FIRST, A WORD ABOUT "HOURLY PAY" IN THE MOVING INDUSTRY Some moving companies advertise $25/hr but only pay you for "billable" time – meaning the hours you spend driving to jobs, loading trucks, and waiting between moves don’t count. At Einstein, you’re paid from clock‑in to clock‑out for every hour. No asterisks, no funny math. When we tell you what you’ll earn, we mean it.

YOUR MONEY (THE FUN PART)

$20/hr base in training. $21/hr base once you’re a Lead. That’s the guaranteed floor – paid for every hour you’re on the clock, not just "billable" ones. Plus tips. Typically $5–$8/hr. Movers who actually give a damn make more. Plus performance bonuses once you’re out of training. Up to $3/hr. Plus $5/hr any time we call you in last‑minute. Plus overtime on hours over 40. Stack it all up and a typical week looks like. Lead in Training: $26–$28.50/hr. Lead: $28.50–$33.25/hr. Top performers earn more.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE

You’ll show up, meet your crew, grab your truck, and head to the job. Some days you’re loading up a studio apartment in 2 hours. Other days you’re wrapping a 5‑bedroom house with a massive book collection and a sculpture garden. You’ll problem‑solve on the fly, work with your team, talk to customers, and yeah – you’ll sweat. A lot. But you’ll also laugh, build real friendships, and go home knowing you actually helped someone through one of the most stressful days of their life. It’s more rewarding than you’d expect.

YOUR MUST‑HAVES

Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects (up to 125 lbs overhead, 200 lbs independently, and 500 lbs in coordination with teammates) frequently throughout an 8+ hour day. 21 years of being alive on this planet (so we can put you on our insurance). At least two years of personal driving experience with an acceptable driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years). Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screen. Excellent customer service skills, interest in learning new things, and motivation to be genuinely helpful. Availability to work 3+ days a week – even better if you can work Thursday–Sunday (our busiest days = more hours & tips). Your own reliable transportation (a car, motorcycle, or scooter – not a bike, not a bus pass).

YOUR NICE‑TO‑HAVES

College degree or current enrollment (a bonus, definitely not required). Moving experience (more than just "exited the womb once"). A friendly pet (so we can pet them at our next company picnic).
