What We Offer 10 Paid Holidays Paid vacation, sick time, personal and wellness time Medical, dental, and vision insurance for those who are scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week Pet insurance, legal support, and other supplemental insurance A generous tuition reimbursement program 403(b) retirement plan Competitive wages and more Responsibilities On site daily Support residents in the (self) administration of medication Documentation of (self) administration of medication Perform TB and drug screenings on all patients within 72 hours of admissions Perform routine urine drug screens as directed by the treatment/recovery plan Monitor and record vital signs Provide triage and medical services accordingly Schedule and coordinate all medical appointments for patients with health care needs and provide periodic follow‑up Review and transcribe medication orders and monitor medication records for compliance Observe and record response to treatment/medication and notify the Medical Director, the RN Supervisor, and the Program Director of any such instances Job Details Location: Hauppauge, NY Job type: Full Time non‑exempt Salary: $23.51–$35.29 per hour Qualifications Required Education Graduate from an accredited nursing program Licenses/Certifications Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse Current certification in BLS and/or ACLS Required Experience At least three years related experience Qualified by training, education, and experience in providing nursing care for chemically addicted patients and patients withdrawing from alcohol and/or drugs Competencies (KSAs) Ethical Practices Judgment Relationship Management Time Management Empathy Professional Boundaries Global and Cultural Awareness Critical Evaluation Problem Solving Decision Making Communication Teamwork Crisis Management Technical Capacity Work Environment This job operates in an indoor medical clinical environment. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Appropriate gloves required.
