Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2000 per week.

Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - 1 travel assignment required. - Recent Epic experience required.

Required Credentials: - Associate degree or certificate required.

Unit Details: - Patient population includes post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF. - Skills/procedures include remote telemetry, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management. - Patient ratios: Days 1:4-5; nights 1:6-7. - May require precepting students and new hires. - CNA support.

Shift & Scheduling: - Three weekends out of every six week schedule. - Every other holiday. - Flexible contract hours: 36 per week; 48 accepted upon request.

Floating Requirements: - First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within the same campus. Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
