is currently hiring an experienced HR Generalist I for a local client in Murray, KY. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting employees, maintaining compliance, and improving organizational processes.

Position Summary


The Human Resource Generalist I is responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, HR administration, and employee support. This role works closely with leadership and various departments to support business goals while enhancing employee engagement and productivity.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, reference checks, offer letters, and onboarding coordination
• Coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screenings, orientation scheduling, and new hire documentation
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS updates, I-9 compliance, personnel files, and other HR documentation
• Assist with employee relations functions including unemployment claims, employment verifications, exit interviews, and employee inquiries
• Process payroll-related time tracking documents and audit records for accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate random drug screenings and workforce program participation when applicable
• Arrange company travel accommodations including airfare, hotels, and rental vehicles
• Represent the company at job fairs and community events as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information
• Support additional HR and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous Human Resources experience required
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, onboarding, and compliance practices
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office programs preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
