Job Description:

Providence Valdez is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to support our Critical Access Hospital in Valdez, AK. This is a locum opportunity with coverage needed from July 16th to August 10th and August 19th to 28th, with additional shifts in October likely. The provider will be responsible for inpatient coverage, including ER, outpatient/primary care, and OB/C-sections in emergency situations.

Schedule:

• Inpatient coverage with clinic and call duties
• Call type: Overnight beeper call
• Approximately 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Shift times: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, night call
• Guaranteed hours: 10 per day
• Candidate should be flexible to cover as much as possible

Credentialing:

• Current CV uploaded to bid
• Active license or IMLC
• DEA required
• Board Certified in Family Practice (Rural Health experience preferred)
• Skills/Certifications: Rural Health

Additional Details:

• Must be willing to provide ER, outpatient, primary care, OB, and emergency C-sections
• High acuity support required
• Travel: Fly into Anchorage, then take a regional flight or ground shuttle to Valdez ( $600 for shuttle)
• Lodging: Provided in hospital apartments (no pets allowed)
