Maintenance Director

We are located minutes off the I-405 and 520 and are seeking an experienced Wellness Director with strong customer service and community interaction skills. Job Details Job Type: Full time Benefits: 401(k), Paid sick time off Physical Setting: Assisted Living Schedule: 8‑hour shift, 6 holidays Pay Range: $32,000 – $36,000 Education: Registered Nurse (BLS) Responsibilities Supervise day‑to‑day maintenance functions of assigned personnel. Participate in setting maintenance standards and developing procedures for daily maintenance tasks. Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing assignments in resident living or recreational areas. Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as practical. Perform administrative requirements, including completing forms and reports, and submit as necessary. Implement recommendations from the Infection Control, Safety, and QA Committees as directed. Maintain fire protection and prevention programs in accordance with fire safety policies and procedures. Ensure maintenance personnel follow safety precautions when using equipment and supplies. Enforce use of personal protective equipment (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts) when lifting or moving heavy objects. Keep assigned work areas safe and attractive. Promptly report equipment or facility damage and assist in maintaining safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals. Ensure hazardous chemical containers are properly labeled and stored. Maintain and enforce established infection control and universal precautions practices during maintenance procedures. Require personnel to complete in‑service training before handling blood, body fluids, or hazardous chemicals. Ensure proper handwashing procedures and protective clothing/device usage for tasks involving blood, body fluids, infectious waste, or hazardous chemicals. Report occupational exposure incidents to the Director. Dispose of refuse daily according to sanitation procedures. Maintain policies on use/disposal of personal protective equipment and infectious waste. Coordinate routine and terminal isolation procedures with nursing services. Conduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions. Identify additional responsibilities to keep the facility safe and comfortable. Recommend equipment and supply needs to the Executive Director. Ensure adequate supply of maintenance supplies for daily tasks. Monitor use of supplies to avoid waste. Ensure appropriate protective equipment is available and accessible to maintenance personnel. Clean and store equipment properly at shift end; label or tag contaminated items before repair or decontamination. Qualifications Registered Nurse credential with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in a similar supervisory or wellness role.
