Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including operations, financial performance, team development, guest satisfaction, and community engagement. You will lead by example, inspire your team, and ensure every guest receives the high-quality food and service Taco John's is known for.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain top talent.

• Build a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture.

• Coach and develop Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members.

• Identify and prepare future leaders through ongoing training and development.

• Conduct regular performance conversations and provide constructive feedback.

Operations Excellence

• Ensure smooth daily restaurant operations.

• Maintain Taco John's brand standards in quality, cleanliness, and service.

• Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate customer service.

• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment.

Financial Management

• Manage restaurant sales, profitability, and operating expenses.

• Control food, labor, and inventory costs.

• Analyze weekly and monthly Profit & Loss statements.

• Develop action plans to improve financial performance.

• Ensure accurate cash handling and inventory management.

Guest Experience

• Lead a customer-first culture.

• Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.

• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements.

• Build lasting relationships within the local community to grow restaurant sales.

Business Growth

• Execute local marketing initiatives.

• Support community events and partnerships.

• Drive sales through outstanding operations and exceptional hospitality.

What We're Looking ForQualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of General Manager experience in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) or Fast Casual environment.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.

• Proven success managing restaurant financial performance.

• Experience recruiting, hiring, and developing successful teams.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
