Job Description

• Assess individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations with a variety of standardized assessments and through observations.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate intimately with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Engage patients and their families to ensure effective strategies for continued progress outside of clinical appointments.
• Perform occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications Needed

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within the first 30 days of employment.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based practices for patients of all ages, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
