If you pour into people — if you love building teams and watching them rise — this is the place for you.This position reports directly to the Director of Operations, Potomac Hospitality Group.Responsibilities include:Leading the front of house team with clarity and consistency — from Shift Leaders to front-line crewOwning the Cousin Experience from the moment a guest walks in to the moment they leaveManaging daily operations including opening and closing procedures, staffing, pacing, and floor coverageManaging scheduling, timekeeping, and labor compliance through 7ShiftsLeading all front of house onboarding, training, and ongoing crew developmentDriving daily sales performance by coaching the team on upselling, suggestive selling, and maximizing check averagesTraining crew members on how to earn more through exceptional service, upselling, and tip-generating behaviors — and holding the standard once they know itOverseeing cash handling, daily sales reporting, and POS reconciliation through ToastServing as the primary liaison between the front of house team and PHG leadershipPartnering with the Executive Chef on service flow, kitchen communication, and ticket executionConducting team check-ins and formal performance reviews; delivering corrective action when neededMonitoring and responding to guest feedback with urgency, warmth, and professionalismMaintaining compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and labor standardsSupporting catering operations and special programming as directedThe Culture You Will CarryAt Ruby's, the Cousin Experience is not a tagline — it is a standard. We expect you to bring both — and to create space for the people you lead to do the same.What We Require• 5 or more years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume or fast-casual environment• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and hold accountable a service-oriented team• Proven experience managing cash, daily reconciliations, and financial reporting with full integrity• Experience driving sales through coaching, upselling strategy, and team motivation• Able to maintain professional boundaries with staff — warm and accessible, while holding authority without compromise• Able to make difficult decisions and stand behind them, including performance conversations and corrective action• Experience with Toast POS and 7Shifts preferred; proficiency with scheduling and reporting systems required• Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards• Strong communicator — with guests, with crew, and with ownership• Bilingual English and Spanish a strong plus• Personal and professional references required; background screening requiredHow We Lead at Ruby'sWe have been building Ruby's for over ten years.
