Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical presentation
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate patient care
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Prior experience in an emergency department or acute care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC or CEN certification preferred
- Experience with high-acuity and trauma patients
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
