Job Summary:
The organization is seeking experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) for a contract position on the 6th Floor of a healthcare facility located in Neenah, Wisconsin. This 8-week assignment involves 12-hour day shifts, with candidates required to bring their Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license on the first day. The role encompasses specialized trauma surgical, neuro, and orthopedic patient care, with a focus on post-operative neuro and ortho trauma surgeries.

Job Details:

• Location: Neenah, Wisconsin
• Schedule: 12-hour days, 8 weeks, starting 06/22/2026, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, Associate Degree or Certificate, minimum 3+ years of RN experience, including 2+ years in Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing and at least one travel assignment, charting experience within the last 2 years using EPIC EMR system, and trauma surgical, neuro, or orthopedic trauma experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Resilient, good at managing change, social interaction skills, and flexibility for float within all ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be hard workers who handle change well and manage stressful situations effectively. The assignment includes holiday rotation every other weekend and requires interview availability on multiple weekdays.
• Float: Float rotation may be required throughout the facility within the skillset, to all ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius.
• Shift Notes: 12-hour shifts, 8 weeks duration, with start times at 5:30 AM.
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-1:6 (night shift), with a focus on trauma, neuro, and orthopedic patients.
• Hard Stops: Chest tubes, PCA/epidural/Q-ball, CBI, care of post-op neuro trauma surgeries, and post-op ortho trauma surgeries (fusions, backs/spines).
• No new travelers.
• Orientation: 8 hours unbillable, with orientation scheduled Sunday through Saturday. GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week.
