Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) registered nurse position located in a diverse outpatient surgery center. This role includes caring for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics following various same‑day procedures, with an emphasis on airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain control. The successful candidate will be adaptable, able to float to different units within the organization, and committed to providing high‑quality patient care. Job Details Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 5 years of clinical experience including at least 3 years in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU); experience with airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management; ability to work in preoperative and extended care units; references must be in hand at time of submission Preferred Qualifications: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN); 2 years of critical care experience Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Additional Information: Orientation hours total 40. Resources may be reassigned to different departments, units, or facilities within a 75+ mile radius during the assignment if staffing needs require. All travel, out-of-state, or float requirements are subject to approval per organizational policy.
