Payroll Business Partner I

Overview ADP is hiring a Payroll Business Partner I for its Professional Employer Organization (PEO) solution. The role serves as the primary client liaison for employer‑level concerns, providing first‑level support primarily over the phone. This position requires a deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment and tax laws to ensure clients remain compliant. Responsibilities Act as a trusted payroll advisor and client service professional, providing timely and accurate advice around payroll compliance. Troubleshoot client and product challenges, educating clients and developing partnerships with stakeholders. Deliver payroll solutions that positively impact client business and create client retention and growth. Manage client interactions over the phone, email, and chat, striving to exceed client expectations with clear, professional communication. Maintain a metrics‑driven, structured day, organizing yourself to handle a high volume of inbound calls and varying peak workloads. Ensure that clients remain compliant with all applicable federal, state, or local employment and tax laws. Required Qualifications 0‑1 year of client and/or service experience. Ability to work overtime hours during peak seasons. College degree preferred but not required. Relevant experience (e.g., military service) recognized and valued. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
