ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing intensive care to adult patients in a fast-paced hospital environment, utilizing advanced nursing skills and critical thinking in patient management.

Shift Details

12-Hour Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
36-hour or 48-hour shifts accepted
Weekend coverage required: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

Provide critical care to adult patients in the ICU setting.
Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, as well as manage patients with dysrhythmias.
Utilize pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring techniques.
Perform central line care and management.
Initiate and manage IV access.
Cater to the needs of ventilated patients, including ventilator management.
Adhere to medication administration protocols using the Accudose system.
Document patient information accurately using the Cerner system.
Communicate effectively using the SBAR technique.
Float between MS/Tele and Tele unit as needed, while maintaining scope of practice.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience required.
Community hospital experience is essential.
ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
Experience in ventilator management and care of ventilated patients.
