Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Post Partum Floor (PPF) care in Cortez, Colorado. This position involves providing nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, nursery, and recovery units. Candidates are required to bring their current nursing license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Cortez, Colorado
• Specialty: Post Partum Floor (PPF) with L&D skills
• Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience preferred; applicants with no prior experience are welcome to apply
• Schedule: Night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Current state Registered Nurse Licensure in Colorado or a compact license accepted, with Colorado license to be obtained within first 90 days of hire
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (PALS certification within 6 months of hire)
  • Successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire
• Additional Information:
  • Experience in Labor and Delivery and willingness to train in nursery and recovery roles
  • Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation required
  • Ability to perform fetal monitoring, neonatal care from delivery to discharge, and manage critical drips such as epidural, sedation, and cardiac monitoring procedures.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with excellent customer service and active listening skills.
  • Must adhere to infection control and safety standards, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Flexibility with working hours and shifts to meet departmental needs.
