Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain individualized plans of care through patient and family interviews, health record review, and ongoing evaluation of patient needs including discharge planning.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other therapeutic measures as prescribed, including interventions that affect hemodynamic and respiratory status.
• Initiate appropriate emergency measures, including resuscitative actions, when a physician is not immediately available.
• Plan, provide, and document patient and family education related to preventative, curative, and rehabilitative care, accounting for learning needs, barriers, and readiness.
• Oversee and delegate patient care tasks to LPNs and unlicensed personnel, providing technical guidance and direction as needed.
• Record nursing observations, interventions, therapeutic measures, and coordinate documentation of care across disciplines.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required.
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays.
• Willingness to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed.

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity Medical Surgical environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and role-model qualities with a commitment to professional, ethical, and legal nursing standards.
