HR Generalist

Location: Las Vegas, NV Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Start Date: ASAP Pay: DOE We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a multi-state workforce in a fast-paced environment. This role will focus heavily on employee relations, labor law compliance, leave administration, benefits, policy interpretation, and HR risk management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is confident navigating complex employee issues and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and managers regarding workplace issues, policy interpretation, and employee concerns. Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and performance-related issues. Provide guidance on federal, state, and local labor laws, ensuring compliance across multiple states. Administer and track FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs. Support unemployment claims, workers' compensation cases, and related documentation. Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and open enrollment support. Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, procedures, and HR documentation. Conduct internal investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions. Assist leadership with performance management, employee retention, and workplace culture initiatives. Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records and HRIS data. Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to company policies and practices. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent HR Generalist experience required. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, and wage and hour regulations. Experience supporting a multi-state employee population . Proven employee relations experience, including workplace investigations and conflict resolution. Benefits administration experience required. Experience managing leave programs, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims. Strong understanding of HR compliance, policy development, and risk mitigation. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus.
