Essential Duties: 

The Plumbing Lead (Foreman), motivates, monitors, and supervises a team of Plumbers to ensure they produce quality work. This position also provides technical guidance regarding the installation, maintenance, modification, and repair of all aspects of plumbing systems and equipment 

 

• Has advanced knowledge in plumbing/sprinkler systems and NYC DOB codes 
• Oversees one jobsite at a time with a crew of at least four (4) people and a lead mechanic 
• Can accurately order materials daily, in a timely manner, based on blueprints and/or scope of work provided 
• Can plan workflow step-by-step based off blueprints 
• Ensure job site is running on time and efficiently 
• Ensures worksites are clean, organized, and safe 
• Ensures employees are following safety procedures, guidelines, and reports when an employee fails to adhere to P&P 
• Addresses employee performance when corrective actions are necessary 
• Ensures everyone on jobsite is using their time efficiently
• Communicates to the supervisor any issues regarding employees, scope of work, general contractor, etc.
• Communicates daily with GC’s onsite manager 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to accurately read and understand blueprints 
• Able to plan, schedule, and organize tasks related to the job to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees and general contractors 
• Must have OSHA 62, F60 and G60, Limited Gas certifications 
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service 
• Able to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, civility, and a high degree of ethics in all job-related actions 
• Ability to work independently and carry-out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs
