We are seeking a full-time Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist (or School-Based Mental Health Provider) for the 2026–27 academic year.

As a member of our Support Services Team, this role will work closely with the Early Childhood Principal, Director of Support Services, faculty, and families to support the social-emotional well-being of students and help create nurturing, responsive learning environments. This position will support our Early Childhood program (PK–K).

Experience and Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field

• Licensed or license-eligible (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, School Counselor, or similar preferred)

• Experience working with young children in early childhood or elementary settings

• Strong understanding of child development and early childhood mental health

• Experience supporting social-emotional learning and classroom-based interventions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Organized, reflective, and collaborative in approach

• Warm, patient, and joyful in interactions with children, families, and colleagues

• A deep commitment to supporting the growth and well-being of each child

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Partner with teachers to support children’s social-emotional development, behavior, and peer relationships

• Provide classroom-based support, as well as small group and individual interventions using developmentally appropriate, play-based approaches

• Serve as a resource to teachers and families on child development, emotional regulation, and behavior support strategies

• Collaborate with families to support children across home and school settings

• Support and help implement school-wide social-emotional learning practices

• Participate in student support meetings and collaborate with the support services team

• Provide guidance and support during challenging situations, as needed

• Contribute to parent education and faculty professional development related to early childhood mental health

• Participate as a member of the admissions team
