Software Engineer, Tracking

Software Engineer, TrackingBroomfield, Colorado, United States; Fort Collins, Colorado, United StatesAnduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.About The TeamAnduril's Air & Missile Defense Radar team develops cutting-edge tracking algorithms and software systems that detect, track, and characterize airborne threats in real-time. Working in small, focused teams, our software engineers design and implement sophisticated tracking solutions that protect lives and critical assets. Our work spans the full spectrum—from developing novel multi-target tracking algorithms to building high-performance distributed systems that process massive amounts of sensor data in milliseconds. We don't just publish papers; we deploy production-grade systems that our government and industry customers depend on for mission-critical operations. If you're passionate about applying mathematics, software engineering, and signal processing to solve complex real-world problems, we want to hear from you. What You Will DoDesign and implement advanced tracking algorithms for novel air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking, track fusion, and discrimination techniquesDevelop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targetsBuild and leverage modeling & simulation environments to validate tracking performance, quantify system capabilities, and identify areas for improvementCollaborate directly with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into end-to-end defense systemsOptimize tracking software for performance-critical environments where milliseconds matterCommunicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, program leadership, and customers to drive informed decisionsParticipate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment and operational effectivenessRequired Qualifications0-2 years of relevant experience & Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)Strong programming skills in C++ and PythonSolid foundation in mathematics: linear algebra, probability, statistics, and/or differential equationsUnderstanding of software engineering fundamentals: design patterns, testing, version control, and debuggingAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearanceDesired QualificationsExperience with tracking, estimation, or filtering algorithms (Kalman filters, particle filters, multiple hypothesis tracking, etc.)Background in controls, estimation theory, or digital signal processingFamiliarity with radar systems or sensor fusionExperience with high-performance computing (multithreading, GPU acceleration, distributed systems)Knowledge of machine learning techniques for classification, clustering, or data associationProficiency with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, time-series databases)Experience with web development technologies (JavaScript, React, Node.js) for building visualization and analysis toolsFamiliarity with modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, or custom frameworks)Experience working in agile development environmentsActive U.S. Top Secret SCI clearanceWe request transcripts as part of the early application process to understand your academic background and how your coursework supports the skills deemed critical for the role.
