Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk accurately receives, picks, repackages, and ships products in a fast-paced, climate-controlled warehouse environment. This role ensures customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time by breaking down bulk orders into smaller quantities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and following established shipping and receiving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming products and materials, verify quantities and condition, and ensure items match accompanying documentation.
• Pull and pick products by hand or using a pallet jack according to customer orders and internal requests.
• Break down bulk orders and repackage products into smaller quantities based on customer specifications.
• Prepare, pack, and label orders accurately for shipment to customers, ensuring products are secure and properly packaged.
• Perform shipping activities including staging, organizing, and loading outbound orders in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assist with general labor tasks related to packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and report any discrepancies or damaged products to leadership.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe while following all warehouse and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members in production and warehouse to meet daily shipping and packaging goals.
• Adapt to occasional extended hours when needed to meet customer demand and shipping deadlines.

Essential Skills

• 12 years or more of packaging, receiving, and/or shipping experience in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
• Hands-on experience with packing, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Ability to pick and pull products accurately by hand and with a pallet jack.
• Experience breaking down bulk orders and repackaging items into smaller quantities.
• General labor experience in a warehouse or production setting.
• Basic inventory handling skills and attention to detail when counting and verifying products.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Strong reliability and willingness to support team goals and production schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on a contract-to-hire basis or in long-term warehouse roles.
• Comfort working in a structured, climate-controlled production and warehouse environment.
• Flexibility to occasionally work an extra hour or two when needed to support shipping demands.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with a production and warehouse team of 4050 people.

Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled production and warehouse facility, working alongside a team of approximately 4050 people. This position is Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working an extra hour or two on occasion when needed. Weekend work is rare and may occasionally include Saturdays, with Sundays almost never required. The position includes two paid 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch period. Work involves manual handling of products, use of pallet jacks, and general warehouse equipment. Closed-toe shoes are required as part of the dress code to support a safe working environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr.
